Farmcode doesn't exist anymore. I've played since the start of GW, and all of you ppl who say that farmcode still exists haven't experienced it tbh. There's just good luck and bad luck, during events if I rezone to kill vaettirs 30 times I could get 2 black dyes and 4 golds on the last run, just hope you get some good luck and if you're pissed cause you ain't getting anything just try again later. Off-topic, leechers do NOT increase drops, some of my guildies have maxed their title with this and they all said they wouldn't get any extra stuff, so stop QQing about it, just take leechers for faster rezone.

What the entire gw community could do with is 1 simple answer to a question from anet
Does overfarming a zone give less drops over time?
Surely anet can answer this question as were not asking for game secrets but an answer to something we all want to know.I doubt if they answer they will lose players or even affect gameplay - it will clear up probably one of the oldest debates going and put players to ease.
Regina if you do read this thread please can you find out and post a reply as im sure the gw community would appreciate it greatly.

anet has said there is no anti farming code (only loot scaleing) so from this can can say that drops will not get worse over time.

Also golds are not lootscaled according to Anet, nor are tomes and some other valued drops.

ANet say alll sorts of things, many proven to be false. Certainly Anti-farm code in it's old form was removed, but there is a boddy of evidence to suggest that if you hit a zone a lot then eventually it turns to crud. Raptors are now worthless to me, I get about 1 gold in every 6 runs, that's not luck, that's something in the game.

I've done 4 runs the other day and I got over 100 feathers each run. Try farming elsewhere for a day or two.

Most of the time i go do uwsc, but since I've been getting rly crappy drops and actually lose money, i decided to start feather farming again, and I can't see any problems with it:
I do the full run, in 13 minutes, and I've never got less than 50 feathers (feathers+salvaged crests), which is very low, but happens in 1 run in 20, and i usually get between 80 and 130, so I don't really believe that the area has been nerfed.
I also used to run bergen hot springs on my 55 monk (noob, i know ^^) and i had an average of 1k a run (merch food). The drops got slightly worse over time, but I spose it's just bad luck, since the difference isn't really big.

Try looking about 5 threads below this one:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10310739
OJ posted it there. It uses earth magic - [obsidian flesh] [sliver armor] [aftershock].
I just went ahead and built one myself based on fire AOE - I found OJ's slow (obsidian movement speed/sliver target):
[build=OgYTo4biTCHMVcIKY4WwF0344AA]
It's pretty easy to come up with a build for this - I think [shockwave] ([earthquake]/[meteor]) [aftershock] [crystal wave] would prolly work just as well...
EDIT: I tested using earth AOE, [shockwave] [aftershock] did the trick, leaving a slot open (GoLE!)...

kk OJ!!! Hehe, but really, I found earth skills worked so well, the following build and 1/2 are dead after casting the elite:
[build=OgYTk4rhXarKXEHMVM1xVw344AA]
I take around 15-20 minutes a run, since I waste time ID/salvage and dropping... Inv space at a premium when items are 20g/each...

Farming Code was removed, Loot Scaling is now how farming is "controlled".
With loot scaling, you get less drops while soloing, while killing multiple enemies at once with AoE damage, or out while in a party but out of radar range of other party members, with the exception of the following items:
Gold Items
Tomes (both regular and Elite)
Rare Crafting Materials (Shards, Ecto, etc.)
Event Drops (Clovers, Grog, Choc. Bunnies, Lunar Tokens, CC Shards, etc.)
Dye
(mebbe more, sue me for laziness @ 0430 hours in the effing morning)
Some runs you will get great returns, others, you won't (the longer you farm an area repeatedly, the more likely you are going to have a "meh" or worse, completely shitty, run) and the only thing you can do is go do something else for a while unless you are farming for items that are NOT affected by loot scaling (which you will still have "good" runs and "not so good" runs).
As far as Leechers having a damn thing to do with drops, see the above posted comment about loot scaling - nah, I'll post it again, bolded for all of you who swear by the logic of "Leechers = More Drops". With loot scaling, you get less drops while soloing, while killing multiple enemies at once with AoE damage, or out while in a party but out of radar range of other party members. When you bring Leechers, they stay out of radar range. Why? Because if they don't, the loot has a chance to be assigned to them when it drops, even if they didn't do a damned thing to the mob that coughed up the drop.
As such, since they are out of radar range, nothing that would have dropped for them is going to drop for you, UNLESS IT WASN'T AFFECTED BY LOOT SCALING IN THE FIRST PLACE - meaning IT WOULD HAVE DROPPED FOR YOU REGARDLESS OF IF YOU WERE SOLO OR IN A PARTY WITH EVERYONE OUTSIDE OF RADAR RANGE.
Anyone who says any differently had a "good" run rather than a "shitty" run while they happened to have Leechers with them.
I Raptor farmed from r4 to 3/4 of the way to r10 Asuran rep, I've done sets of runs with both Leechers and without Leechers (my runs take less than a minute, and if I took a Leecher or a few, I've always farmed at least an hour straight with them in my party - that's ~60 runs per hour, so don't say I haven't given plenty of time to run with Leechers), and there was NEVER a difference in the quality or quantity of drops with or without. I've had just as many really good (4-5 golds + 1-3 dyes) runs as I have really shitty (no golds, no dyes, maybe 1 or 2 drops total) runs while carrying Leechers as I have while not carrying Leechers.
Anyone who says Leechers effect drop rate is blowing smoke out of their ass. Period.
